Default What Brought You To God?

I was curious what brought you to our Lord. With me it was being raised in a loving Christian family. I have always been to church on Sunday and Wednesday and was very active in my youth ministry.

I was just curious how you guys and girls found the Lord?

I was quite the hell raiser when I was younger. Serving God was never a thought that crossed my mind. It was the death of my grandmother that made me sit back and take a look at my life. My grandmother was a devout believer and always tried to get me to goto church. I went a couple times and there was always the call to go to the preacher and ask to invite Jesus into your life.

I always balked. Looking back it was that I was afraid. I do not know why i was afraid and I knew my grandmother wanted me to go up. She never said but i always felt it from her. It was at her funeral I got my call.

My grandmothers favorite preacher was there. He knew my grandmother would want one final call to the alter in her name. I felt her lift me up and move me to the alter. I really wanted to all this time and I burst out into tears in front of my family. I hugged the preacher and told him I was sorry that i didn't come up when my grandmother was alive. He was tearing up as well and said it was ok that my grandmother knew that I would come up someday. She had told the preacher that and he told me that.

My crying turned to a laughing sob and I went over to the casket and kissed my grandmother on her forehead and told her i loved her.

That was the day.

I was raised with it.

Then when I went to college and had discussions about it with my Christian friend (the daughter of a missionary, someone who considered herself a great Christian), I became an Atheist. Since then, she has stopped being my friend.

Default Sunday will take you through the week

I’m totally digging these boots accessories from The 2 Bandits, a collection by NYC founders Slippers Uggs(originally from Cali) and Ugg Boots Sundance (from Texas), who cut their teeth in the jewelry industry. Ranging from $40-$167 (with a number of styles on sale now!), the add-ons are handcrafted in brass and quality fabrications. I love the versatility these adjustable bands offer—studded, embroidered, and sweet to rough-and-tumble hardware all giving ample effect without indulging in another pair of boots. Ugg Boots Ladies is a peek at fall, but for the current collection, check the site.

I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior around 1991/92 while attending Calvary Chapel West Covina.

I've swayed back and forth for a number of years but I am back to living my life for Christ.

I was raised in in, explored it on my own, compared it to other religions, and realized that I do not have a religion but a relationship.
