Default Was there a time when Jesus Christ did not exist?

Was there a time when Jesus Christ did not exist?

This question can be looked at prior to the cross or at the cross when sin seperated him from God the Father, so lets start at the cross when Christ died, and then look at scripture before He was made flesh.....

The Death of Jesus
45From the sixth hour until the ninth hour darkness came over all the land. 46About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi,[c] lama sabachthani?"—which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"[d]
47When some of those standing there heard this, they said, "He's calling Elijah."
48Immediately one of them ran and got a sponge. He filled it with wine vinegar, put it on a stick, and offered it to Jesus to drink. 49The rest said, "Now leave him alone. Let's see if Elijah comes to save him."
50And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit.

Did Christ die the same as man and know nothing in the sleep of death....

Now here are some verses a friend, Sky, gave me to look over...

From eternity to eternity You are God." Psalm 90:2.

"Christ who is God over all blessed forevermore." Romans 9:5.

Deity cannot die. "He who is blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality..." 1 Tim.1:16.

Is not Jesus Christ the King of kings and Lord of lords? Christ is immortal.

So do you think that man has 'created' a divine power for his own purpose.

Jesus has two natures, God and man. (John 1:14) God does not cease to exist.(Psalm 90:2) Also Jesus Christ upholds all things by the word of His power. (Heb 1:4)
How could He do this if He was unconscious or non existant after His death on the cross?
Death isn't soul sleep, Jesus told the thief on the cross, "Most assuredly I say to you, Today you shall be with Me in Paradise".(Luke 23:43) Paul said "To live is Christ to die is gain" (Phil 1:21) and "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord". (2Cor 5:8)
Eccl 9:5 IS NOT referring to the departed dead. It says,"For the living know that they will die; but the dead know nothing, and they have no more reward, for the memory of them is forgotten. Does it make sense that the apostles Paul and Peter and all other departed saints have no more reward and the memory of them is forgotten?
Jesus' body died, but That which makes Him who He is can never die.(Heb 13:8)
Thanks

Default Mis-quote:

Jesus told the thief on the cross, "Most assuredly I say to you, Today you shall be with Me in Paradise"

The passage of scripture is a miss-quote, it should read as follows.

Jesus told the thief on the cross---Most assuredly I say to you today, you shall be with me in paradise.

Jesus did not say to him that he would be with Him (Jesus) when he died, but that at the same time all others were with Jesus at His coming, he would be with Him then, that he was forgiven.

No mis-quote. I checked my Stongs Concordance and at least 65 times in the four Gospels Jesus used the phrase " verily I say to you" as translated by the KJV. Only ONE time did He add the word "today" to that phrase and that is Luke 23:43. He meant that day.
